Let’s face it; it’s cool to be green. The thing about this is that being green isn’t just trendy. It might be trendy in some parts of the world but it’s also something that world needs. Being green isn’t just cool; it’s important.

There are so many different ways to be green that it is hard to figure out which are the best things to do to be green in our own lives. Some things are simple, though. For example, your lighting should always be green lighting.

There are a variety of different types of green lighting. You can choose energy-efficient light bulbs such as fluorescent light bulbs, energy star light bulbs or high pressure sodium light bulbs. Alternatively you can choose light fixtures made with green technology (such as solar power).

Because there are so many different options for green lighting there is really no excuse for failing to go green in this part of life. You truly aren’t cool if you can’t at least do this green thing in your life. And what you’ll probably find is that starting to save money while going green will motivate you to be even greener in the future. The only problem then will be trying to figure out what the next area of green life is that you want to explore.
