Green Armada Foundation

Green Armada has been making plenty of national news, from its feature in an April "People" magazine story touting "Heroes Among Us," to national spots on the NBC Nightly News and CBS evening news programs last month.
The non-profit, volunteer-driven organization works daily to clean the waterways and shoreline around the United States. The people in this organization have come to realize and accept that our oceans and interior bodies of water are facing severe problems that threaten their very existence. They are not scientists, but as concerned citizens and business people in an interconnected world, they seek to do what average citizens and businesses can do.
Their mission is to work for “Waters Free of Debris”.
Their organization is also working hard to: raise awareness that water debris is one of the serious threats to our oceans and interior waterways; help citizens understand what they can do to improve the situation; and motivate and empower people to change behaviors and come to a realization that this battle will be won one person at a time so what each person does counts.
