The pictures shown appear to be of the NRA facilities and Museum not Chuck’s basement.

I do not like firearms of any kind.
I would not even want one gun in my home.

Your fear of guns is childish.

If your ever attacked youll wish you had one. See how long the police take to get to your house when you call.

Please do your research before posting articles on your website. The pictures depict the basement of Bruce E. Stern, not Charlton Heston.

There are no shootings in Israel schools because teachers may if they choose carry a concealed weapon.

Better to have one and not need it, than to need one and not have it.

I just love it when people post such stupid reactions to guns. You obviously have no knowledge about guns, but say you dislike them. This is just ignorance and can be resolved fairly easily by enrolling in a woman’s gun introduction class. You don’t like them because you fear them and have no knowledge of them. They are no different than any other machine such as a lawnmower. Use the lawnmower wrong and bad things can happen, the same can be applied to your car. Do you fear those things, No because the media is not constantly bad mouthing those items. Learn about guns and I guarantee you, your opinion will change.

Well good for you, for not having a gun in your home, but please dont tell me not to have one in mine. I sleep better knowing I can defend myself How well do you sleep or do you rely on others (police) with guns to protect you.

Well, I don’t know where I come down on the gun controversy, but I’ve certainly never seen a basement like that with a huge safe door protecting a bunch of lawnmowers. Lawnmowers don’t have a primary purpose of killing things. I think gun lovers should face up to a fascination with the idea of being able to hold the balance of life and death in your hands. It’s pretty damn seductive.

I do fear other nuts, drunk or otherwise, in cars more than I fear guns.

about the room-its freakin amazing! i would love to have something like that!
and you people are ridiculous. he didnt say that you couldnt have a gun in your own home he said he didnt like them himself! its his choice not to have one, what hes doing making a post about it here of all place idk but get off his back he never said anyone else couldnt. one simple comment and you turn it into hes saying you cant have a gun in your own home. and i cant believe you compared a gun to a lawn mower, their not even the same, you dont use a lawn mower to take a person out when they break into your house, a gun is a serious thing to have and should be treated that way, a gun is not the same as any other house hold item!

Guns don’t hurt people, people hurt people with or without a gun. I have had guns all my life and I have never killed anyone. I will get rid of my guns when everyone else in the world does the same. Then we can use bows and arrows or spears or clubs to hurt each other. There must be something else more important to worry about than this subject. If u don’t want a gun then don’t have one it is a personal choice.

You sound like a mind controlled sheep. Get your shit together. Guns helped us forge our history.

If I was your neighbor, then I would put a big sign out letting everyone know your feelings.

This room is awesome and I want one…

Come to Houston, I will take you to the range and teach you all you need to know about firearms. I takes less than 3 hours.

I love to teach people how not to fear them, and how to use, store, and care for them.

I do this because the expression on the faces of those that are scared of them turn to pure joy as they begin to understand the workings and the care we take to be safe.

Everyone on here is wrong. It is not Charlton Heston’s room. It is not Bruce Sterns room. It is not an NRA museum room. It is a privately owned gun collection. I have personally been in this gun room and know the owner who is a friend. It is located somewhere in Virginia. It is 1600 sg ft and is 20 feet underground. It has 18″ concrete and steel reinforced walls, floor and ceiling. It has a bank vault door and alarmed to the teeth. It also has a machine shop and a gun range for 2 shooters.

    looks like a mitsubishi mu-2 turbo/prop.
that aircraft is more likely to kill you
    than any gun would!

What would you do if a criminal, thief, or some other individual looking to possibly harm you came into your house? Hope they have the same feelings about firearms as well? Obviously this gun room/safe/collection is over-the-top, but owning a handgun or shotgun, hell even a rifle, could save you or your loved one’s lives someday. I own three rifles, two shotguns, and a revolver myself. Of course the rifles and shotguns are for hunting. However, the revolver is kept in a locked drawer at my bedside I unlock before going to sleep (bedroom door is locked to keep kids from possibly getting to gun, however they know gun safety and responsibility because I’ve taught them and take them hunting). Police are secondary responders, YOU are the primary responder, and YOU should consider taking responsibility for your life and the lives of those you love.

Mr. Anonymous, thank you for your input! Not that I don’t believe you, on the contrary, I would very much like definitive proof to who owns this beautiful gun collection. I much despise emails that claim one thing or another and have no proof.
As to the person who dislikes guns, lack of knowledge causes fear…in all cases.
Guns are serious and to be handled properly. When done so, they are amazing. The power, sound, smell all add the pleasure of owning one!
My two cents! Thank you for letting me share them. :)
