By JustCool on Apr 13, 2008 in Cool People, Cool Videos
Dr. Randy Pausch delivers his farewell lecture at Carnegie Mellon University. Probably the last public speech he will give. The 46-year-old professor and father of three preschoolers has incurable pancreatic cancer. Yet, Randy did not focus on impending death. Instead, he celebrated the chance he had been given to live the life he always had dreamed of. An inspiring talk that should be shared. Below is an overview.
Professor Pausch gave his last lecture at the university on Sept. 18, 2007, before a packed McConomy Auditorium. In his moving talk, "Really Achieving Your Childhood Dreams," Pausch talked about his lessons learned and gave advice to students on how to achieve their own career and personal goals. It is over an hour long, yet is one of the most highly rated and popular videos on YouTube - viewed by more than 1.5 million. It is changing lives. Click here to watch the entire lecture.
